IBTP has categories to describe those who cleave strictly to these rules, and those who deviate in some acceptable way, and those who deviate in an unacceptable way (for instance, to be a “funfem” or a “sex-positive feminist” or a “nice guy” is to take an acceptable non-radfem position from which to argue, and be argued with; to be an “MRA” is to take an unacceptable non-radfem position to argue from).

This is a very picky nit, but as far as I can tell "nice guy" --at least as traditionally used sarcastically to refer to dudes who complain that women don't like them even though they are so "nice"--is not an acceptable non-radfem position from which to argue at IBTP.

My evidence for this is that I have never seen any comments at IBTP in the last few years written from this position. I suppose it's possible that none have been submitted in that time frame, but I consider it more likely that Twisty doesn't allow them.

"I’ve never really believed in free will. I’ve always thought that everything is already determined by particle vectors, that everything I do is explainable by something that happened to me in childhood or by a set of circumstances that outlined my choice to such an extent that I didn’t really have a choice."

Amazingly enough, your opinion is not a reason. Now, give me an actual reason you do not have free will. Claiming you do not have free will is just a way to avoid to taking responsibility for your own behavior.

"Changing the rules of the game is what I’m aiming for, but it’s going to take a lot of searching to find the right game and a lot of convincing to get people to play it."

That is assuming free will. Make up your mind.

Hmmm, there is a reason someone accused you of being a misogynist. But this goes along with something I read somewhere else, where the minority but still significant viewpoint was "well rape is awful but as women, you're just gonna have to suck up the likelyhood of being raped".

Men insist they are soooooo logical, yet they never take things to their logical conclusion.

Mmmmm, how 'bout men just accept that they are all possible rapists as far as a women is concerned, and she get to carry a nice weapon at all times and they don't? And she pays a $25 fine every time she blows some guy's kneecap out with a taser?

This was a fantastic analogy, and thank you very much. Really makes me want to increase affirmative action etc, not merely keep it.
